Because if the dino dies or wakes up then you didn't waste any food or kilbble. Because if the dino wakes up, he will still be starved so if you can tranq him again then you didn't lose any time. The cryo sickness naturally goes down over time with the timer, but you can feed a Dino stimulant to wake it up faster. Stimulant does not affect cryo sickness. In order to tame the dino, you need to keep the food in its inventory at all times, or wait until its food stat goes down low enough that it will eat all of the food at once. This means you have to wait x minutes/hours to tame a creature. Narcoberries have to be remote used in order to keep the creature unconscious.
